Which MCP server gets quarterly results of Indian listed companies?

Disclosure: DalalOS publishes this page and runs the MCP server it describes. We checked every figure below against the live server on 29 October 2026.

DalalOS has tools for this. get_financials returns the quarterly results a company filed on BSE, with margins and EPS. get_financial_trends adds quarter-on-quarter changes, and get_upcoming_results and get_market_calendar show who reports next. Quarterly data has limits, and this page lists them with dates.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Call get_financials with period_type set to quarterly or annual. Each period carries the filing source and date.
  • Quarterly periods have no cash flow and, in most quarters, no balance sheet. Indian companies file those half-yearly and yearly.
  • Data appears after a company files, then waits for a cache refresh. Check cached_at and stale on every response.

What does the quarterly results tool return?

get_financials returns consolidated figures from the BSE XBRL filing for one company. Pass an NSE symbol, ISIN or BSE code. limit sets how many periods come back, up to 12, newest first.

  • Profit and loss. Revenue from operations, total income, EBITDA, pre-tax income, net income and EPS, as filed.
  • Ratios from fixed formulas. EBITDA, operating and net margin, plus a trailing-twelve-month block and a growth block (annual year-on-year and 3 and 5 year CAGR).
  • Scores from fixed formulas. A Piotroski F-score and an Altman Z-score computed on filed data. Both return null for banks, NBFCs and insurers.
  • Provenance. Every period names its source (bse-xbrl) and, for a newly listed company, may name the prospectus (drhp) for pre-listing years.

get_financial_trends returns one row per period with quarter-on-quarter growth, the change in net margin, and the reportable segments. It is a time series. get_financials gives levels and one summary growth block.

What does a real answer look like?

Trimmed from the live response: the six segment rows and some fields removed, no value changed.

Two things to read in this answer. The response carried stale: true, because its cache time was 21 October 2026, eight days before we asked. And yoy_revenue_growth is null, because a two-period window has no same quarter from the year before. Ask for 5 or more periods to get year-on-year growth.

Segments come back as numbered members, such as ReportableSegments1Member, with revenue and profit before tax. The filing carries the position of each segment and not its name. Match the numbers to the company’s own results presentation.

Which companies report results soon?

get_upcoming_results lists board meetings for results over the next 1 to 90 days, with an optional sector filter. On 29 October 2026 it listed Blue Star, DCW, Jasch Industries, Trent and HeidelbergCement India for that day. Jasch Industries has a BSE code (500220) and no NSE symbol.

get_market_calendar takes a start and end date (up to 180 days apart, past or future) and an optional list of event types. For results it reads the same calendar. It also lists dividends, splits, bonuses, demergers and other corporate actions. Where a BSE code has no match in the securities master, the row keeps the event and returns null for the name, with a note. Two of the five results rows below had no match that day.

What are the limits?

  • Filing lag. Data starts when the company files. Trent’s latest quarter on 29 October 2026 was Q1 FY27, filed 6 August 2026, and its Q2 result was due that day. Infosys’s Q2 FY27 filing went in on 23 October 2026.
  • Cache lag. The TCS response was cached on 21 October 2026 and flagged stale on 29 October, although TCS filed on 8 October. Trust the stale flag and the cached_at time over any assumption about freshness.
  • Half-yearly balance sheets. A quarterly period without a balance sheet returns null and a note, never a zero.
  • No quarterly cash flow. SEBI listing rules require the cash flow statement with annual audited results. Quarterly filings do not include one.
  • Filings, not announcements. The get_stock_events tool lists a company’s BSE announcements. Its description says quarterly results are excluded from it, so use get_financials for the numbers.
  • Consolidated figures. The statements returned are consolidated.

Read the dates before the numbers

Each period has a period_end and a fiscal label. Each response has a cache time. Compare companies on the same period end, and say so in your prompt.

How we checked

On 29 October 2026 we called get_financial_trends for TCS, get_financials for TCS and Trent, and get_market_calendar and get_upcoming_results for results dates. The description of get_stock_events comes from the tool documentation. Figures change as companies file and the cache refreshes. This is research data, not investment advice, and DalalOS does not rank or rate stocks. Found an error? Email hello@dalalos.in.

FAQ

Common questions

Which MCP server gets quarterly results of Indian listed companies?
DalalOS does. Its get_financials tool returns the quarterly profit and loss a company filed on BSE, with margins and EPS. get_financial_trends gives quarter-on-quarter changes, and get_upcoming_results and get_market_calendar show who reports next. DalalOS publishes this page, so read the limits section before you rely on it.
Is there an MCP server for Q2 FY27 results?
Yes, for companies that have filed. On 29 October 2026 the server held TCS’s Q2 FY27 result (period ended 30 September 2026) and Infosys’s result filed on 23 October. Trent, which reports on 29 October, still showed Q1 FY27 as its latest quarter.
How soon after a company files do the results appear?
The data comes from the BSE XBRL filing, so it can only appear after the company files. It then goes into a cache that refreshes on a schedule. On 29 October 2026 the TCS quarterly response was cached on 21 October and carried stale: true. Check the cached_at and stale fields in every response.
Does it return quarterly cash flow or a quarterly balance sheet?
No. Indian companies file a balance sheet half-yearly and a cash flow statement once a year, so quarterly periods carry null balance-sheet fields and cash_flow_available: false. Ask for period_type annual to get cash flow.
Does it work for banks, NBFCs and insurers?
Yes, with a different template. Banks, NBFCs and insurers return interest income and net interest income lines in place of revenue and EBITDA.
Can it tell me which companies report this week?
Yes. get_upcoming_results lists board meetings for results over a forward window. get_market_calendar covers any window of up to 180 days, past or future, and can also list dividends, splits and other events.
Is this investment advice?
No. DalalOS returns what companies filed and ratios from fixed formulas. It gives no buy or sell calls, target prices or ratings. Nothing on this page is investment advice.
