Is there an MCP server that reads BSE and NSE company filings?

How can an AI assistant pull guidance and commentary out of Indian company filings?

It works in three steps. The assistant lists the filings, reads the one that matters, then looks back through earlier filings for context.

These are the tools: get_stock_events, get_filing_extract, get_filing_extracts and search_company_disclosures. Search covers only filings whose PDF text is already stored, and its response says how many filings are indexed for the company and from which date.

What does a real filing extract look like?

This is Larsen & Toubro’s Q2 / H1 FY27 analyst presentation, filed on 27 October 2026. The extract returned 390 facts from 36 pages. Three are shown. The first is a statement about the future, so it is flagged as forward-looking. The other two are the same figure read from two pages.

How do I find what management said about the outlook?

Search the company’s filings for the topic. A search for “guidance outlook” on L&T on 27 October 2026 returned the Outlook section of the Q2 board-outcome filing (page 8). It discusses the economy and the company’s focus on operations and technology. It gives no numeric target for the company. It also returned a July 2026 credit-rating filing that uses the word “outlook” for a rating. Your AI has to read the passage to tell the two apart, and the passage and page are right there.

• Ask for the passage and its page, not a paraphrase.
• Ask the assistant to say when a filing gives no figure, instead of filling the gap.
• Use a date range to compare what a company said last quarter with this quarter.

Where do results come from?

Quarterly and annual results come from the exchange’s XBRL filings, through get_financials and get_financial_trends, not from PDF extraction. A results filing sent to get_filing_extract returns a pointer to those tools. XBRL can trail a same-day results filing: on the evening of 27 October 2026 the latest quarter for L&T there was Q1 FY27, while the Q2 figures were already readable in the extracted presentation. Check the period label before you use a figure.

What are the limits?

• Source. Filings are BSE announcements. The page makes no claim about NSE-only filings.
• Speed. A filing not yet read is queued and can take minutes. It uses a small daily allowance.
• Search. It covers only filings with stored PDF text. A filing with a PDF but no page index is not searchable.
• Not every filing has facts. A filing can come back as facts only, with no summary.
• Not a verdict. Nothing is graded. The tools do not say whether guidance is good or likely to be met.

How we checked

On 27 October 2026 we ran get_stock_events, get_filing_extract, search_company_disclosures and get_financials on the live server for Larsen & Toubro, and search_company_disclosures for Mazagon Dock.
